I do not know exactly how long I have been with Newsvine I think since 2011 but I have come across some interesting comments and characters here. And one thing often in back of my mind was, I do not know, or should believe anyone here is who are what they say they are. I mean we all have heard stories of phone sex talkers, not really being fine sexy ladies, but old, ugly with warts, and are really dudes. Obvious people on dating chat lines always hype themselves to be more than what they really are too. Here on the Vine, it is a bit different, but I have heard a lot of academic and professional claims that I have found at times more than suspicious.
But is it possible that some of us on the Vine are not really human, but machines? First think of advances in computer technology since Big Blue, search engines like Google, and Seri, and the Jeopardy champ Watson. Could it be possible the next big step in software is conversation with humans good enough to convince the humans they are human? And if so, what better place to test such software, but on the Internet guised as a human blogger?
